The Chronic Pain and Migraine Clinic is a multidisciplinary pain management clinic with locations in Scarborough, Oshawa and Kitchener. Our mission is to provide optimal and expedient patient care to all our patients. Our clinics offer total musculoskeletal care ranging from consultations to pain management plans including interventional nerve blocks.
Chronic pain is defined as pain lasting longer than 3 to 6 months, which is abnormal time for healing and recovery. Our pain specialists will take history of your pain and review your imaging results from your family doctor. After completing a physical exam, the pain specialist will design a treatment plan for your condition and needs involving a combination of medication, nerve blocks, and conventional therapies.
Migraines cause excessive pain in one side of the head and can also be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. The pain varies, however, most people will sense the migraine coming on and it will disrupt their daily activities. Under our migraine program, the specialist will determine the type of migraine you have and properly map out an effective treatment plan.
