The following are conditions we treat that may cause foot and ankle pain:

PLANTAR FASCIITIS

Plantar Fasciitis involves the inflammation of the plantar fascia, which are the strands of connective tissue running alone the sole of the foot, linking the heel to the foot to the balls and toes. It can send shooting pain in the heel or sole and manifest an inability to flex the toes upward. Regenerative medicine helps the damaged tissue repair and improve functionality.

CHRONIC ACHILLES TENDINOSIS

Achilles tendinosis is directly related to overuse and is often found in seniors over the age of 50 who are physically active. Due to frequent and intense overuse, injuries are caused by the degeneration of tissue and inflammation.

CHRONIC LIGAMENT STRAINS

Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation. The “RICE” method was once used to control swelling, ease pain and encourage the flow of blood to the injured area. While it is generally effective at helping strains heal within a few weeks, serious and repeated strains require further intervention. RICE is relatively limited in its therapeutic benefits for the strains, however regenerative medicine provides faster healing and improves functionality.

CHRONIC PARTIAL TENDON TEAR

Tendons are the soft connective tissues that link the joints. Intense wrenching movements can cause tears. This is often referred to as “blowing out” the joint. The pain and limited mobility that occur with this condition can it difficult or even impossible to get around on a daily basis.
