ILIOLUMBAR LIGAMENTS

Illiolumbar ligaments keep the lower spine together by anchoring it to stronger bones to provide support making them one of the most important connective tissues in the body. Any form of trauma, injury or defect to these ligaments not only reduce their powerful strength, but also increases pain and reduced mobility.

FACET JOINTS

Facet joints are located along the spine. They are almost constantly in motion as the body goes from one movement to another. Over the years, they can be placed at high risk for severe wear. The overuse can lead to a reduction in mobility and increase back pain.

Interspinous ligaments, located along the spine, are most commonly caused by whiplash. Damage to interspinous ligaments negatively impact the stability of the spine as well as the body’s ability to move properly. Due to the restricted blood supply to the damaged area, the recovery period for an injury can last from several weeks to a months.

Tendinosis is the degeneration of the tendon’s collagen in response to chronic use. There are a variety of treatment options available. SUBACROMIAL BURSITIS

Subacromial Bursitis occurs when the small fluid sac, called bursa, between the rotator cuff and the acromion of the shoulder becomes inflamed. The subacromial bursa helps the motion of the rotator cuff in activities such as overhead work. Bursitis often develops secondary to injury, impingement, overuse of the muscle, or calcium deposits.
